Talking With Tami Bloggers Luncheon Part 2: Finding Happiness in the Media and Entertainment Business

It took me a while to figured out what I wanted to write about this event, mostly because I embrace every single experience that I come into contact with as an invaluable learning experience.
Happiness in the media and entertainment business is a bumpy ride. When you work in this industry your triumphs are whispered, while your struggles and failures are widely broadcast.
Celebrities and social media personalities often struggle to find a balance between their personal & professional life while letting their personality shine under the intense scrutiny from their audience.
I have to admit I had no idea who Toya Wright was when Tammie Reed presented her to the audience. All I know is that she seemed to be a very well rounded individual. Toya Wright is no different than you and me. She had her struggles and disappointments through life but has been able to sail through them with faith, grace and humbleness.

Toya Wright is an incredible business women. She wrote a book called Priceless Inspiration, owns boutique called G.A.R.B., and is starring in her own reality show on BET called Toya: A Family Affair. Her latest venture is a new line of clothing for Walmart. However, what impresses me the most about Toya Wright is her strong sense of family and community.
I love when celebrities put their star power to good use. We applaud Toya for making a positive impact on Atlanta's youth by teaching them about about leadership, bullying, self-confidence and education.

We also applaud Tammie Reed for being extremely kind to us and for being a
great example of how your personal circumstances don't define your later success in life.
Tammie was the first person in her family to graduate, that is after she
had her struggles with hardships and homelessness. She is now a proud momma of two
kids and in my opinion is the most successful and influential blogger in
the city Atlanta.
We all have stories to tell and the more we share them the more we grow. One thing I leaned from this wonderful lunch, full of incredibly smart women, is that you should never judge others by their appearance for the inside of them has so much to reveal.
At the end of the day we all strive for one thing and one thing only, and that is the desire to live a happy life. From the moment of birth, every human being wants happiness and does not want suffering.
Instead of looking what makes you different from the rest, start thinking about what you have in common. One day you will realize the answer will always be the same...
Namaste!
What a great post Liza! I had many struggles in my life but boy did I learn from all of that and with those experiences, it did make me the person I am today! Thanks so much Liza for coming out! xoxo
