Explore Georgia: Tybee Island Tips No One Tells You About

Ever wonder how can you maximize your visit to Tybee Island? We have gathered the best insider tips so you can plan a dream trip to one of the most unique places you'll ever visit. BEST PLACE TO LAY DOWN YOUR TOWEL Park near the Tybee Beach Beach and Pavilion ( Tybrisa St, Tybee Island, GA 31328) use the bridge  in front of the Tybee Island Marine Center  turn right and walk towards the rock formation close to the sand dunes. This portion of the beach has a smoother sand, lots of shallow areas that are perfect for little kids to bathe safely, is less crowded, and because it's close to the sand dunes you will see a large variety of seaside birds.

Help Nellie Find Her Fur-ever Home

This pet is eligible for the GASPCA "Paws for Consideration" program. Take her home for a few days and see if they fit into your household. Nellie is one of our sweet Momma dogs who brought us a litter of beautiful puppies. All of her puppies have been adopted and now Nellie is ready for a forever home of her own. Nellie has had a hard life so far. Here is what her foster Mom has to say about her: "Nellie was brought to us by a volunteer who found her on the streets. She was so thin and malnourished that we didn't think she would make it. When we found out that she was pregnant, we just knew we had to at least give her a chance. We called her Little Piggy because she was eating 8 times a day at first. She gave birth to 7 babies who were very happy and healthy. The puppies were all adopted before Christmas and are all doing well.

Nellie overcame her next hurdle with successful heartworm treatment and she now has lots and lots of energy and is one of the smartest dogs I have ever seen. Nellie is currently getting professional training so she can learn to play with other dogs. She is totally housebroken, loves people and will lick you to death if she has the chance. We are looking for someone who will love Nellie as much as we do and give her the forever home she deserves. Please give her a chance." Call Foster Mom Karen at 404-579-6398 to meet Nellie. Our dog and puppy adoption fees are $250. That includes spay/neuter surgery, disease testing (dogs testing positive for heartworms are treated; however, we do not add that charge to our adoption fee), up to date vaccinations, deworming, up to date flea/tick & heartworm prevention, a 24Petwatch microchip and 30 days of 24PetWatch pet insurance.

This month is adopt a dog month at Georgia SPCA so let's make sure all those dog lovers get to see Nellie.
