Ever wonder how can you maximize your visit to Tybee Island? We have gathered the best insider tips so you can plan a dream trip to one of the most unique places you'll ever visit. BEST PLACE TO LAY DOWN YOUR TOWEL Park near the Tybee Beach Beach and Pavilion ( Tybrisa St, Tybee Island, GA 31328) use the bridge in front of the Tybee Island Marine Center turn right and walk towards the rock formation close to the sand dunes. This portion of the beach has a smoother sand, lots of shallow areas that are perfect for little kids to bathe safely, is less crowded, and because it's close to the sand dunes you will see a large variety of seaside birds.
There's
a new fundraising event here in Atlanta that is meant to benefit our
furry friends. Hooters sponsors events around the country, playfully
dubbed “Hooters for Neuters,” aimed at raising awareness of the
necessity and importance of spay/neuter procedures for pets. The
fundraiser takes place Tuesday, February 25th from 5-8pm
at the Hooters at Cumberland location.
There
will be various pet adoption and shelter organizations represented at
the event- one of whom is Canine Cellmates. They are a non-profit
jail dogs program that pairs shelter dogs with carefully screened
Fulton County jail inmates for an 8-week period, during which time
basic command and potty training is given to the dog in hopes of
making him/her a more attractive adoptee. The program is
transformative for both dog and inmate and both parties reap the
benefits of their time together.
Hooters
has generously agreed to donate $1 to Canine Cellmates for every
flyer that is printed out and brought to the event (see attached
flyer). In addition- the event features a 50/50 raffle, a free
Hooters wing party raffle and a free spay/neuter ticket for
attendees.
